Phillips Gentleman Jim’s Real Ginger Ale

I walked past the case many times. Done up to look like a circus side-show carriage, the Phillips taster pack is loaded with imagery and phrases that Would make PT Barnum proud.

I really liked the last Phillips beer I reviewed, so I decided to try this strange collage.

It’s 10 pm and I just got home from an X-ray seminar. After looking at black and white slides for three hours, the case and labels are even more exhilarating.

I went to the fridge and randomly chose the Gentleman Jim’s Ginger Ale.

Well, this beer really isn’t good. It is flat, smells intensely like Ginger (of course) and tastes awful.

I have a sneaking suspicion that my wife won’t even sleep next to me tonight.

Perhaps, just maybe this could be tolerable with some sushi.

No, changed my mind it sucks.

The aftertaste is a weird dry bitter taste, like Ginger rinds, with a sugary finish.

There is a glimmer of appreciation for the fact that they tried something different, but in this case it failed miserably.

With each sip however, all my will to give it any score of positivity is completely broken.
