So I am watching “Newsroom” On shaw on demand while drinking a beer named Hoparazzi. Coincidence?
In an environment awash with hard-hitting IPAs, the Hoparazzi beer from Parallel 49 offers a light- hearted easy drinking Alternative.
If this beer were a news story, it would be a third page article in In-Touch.
You know, like seeing Britney Spears in her bathing suit with a 1mm belly (ok, I mean like old hot Britney, not the hot mess Britney) and the words “fatty boombah!!! Want another cream cake Britney?!”
I would follow this with a mean whale sound, but I don’t know how to spell it. Kinda like “bvrrrw!…..bvrrrw!…. Pffffsshhhh (blow hole)…..pfffsshhhhh!!!”
That’s just mean! Poor Britney!
Oh yah the beer. Ok, don’t think that this is a bad thing, because millions of people read that stuff. It is not serious, but has just a little bite.
Well the slick labels and cool bottles continue to impress and stimulate my curiosity. I like this beer’s attitude. It reminds me of Kevin Bieksa’s during his first season. It looks the part, it has an edge, and some attitude, but it’s better days are ahead.
This beer is dark and rich with a nice head. It has a spicy taste I moderate intensity and a sugary finish.
I don’t think this beer is quite as bad as Kevin was his first year (my nickname for him was “biexcrement”)…. Hahaha, it’s funny now because he is so awesome!!!
Now, if only I had a cup to put this in… Let’s see… Nope no cups here. Tastes better out of a glass anyway:)
What a great idea! Nothing beats the heat like a slice of watermelon! And as a matter of fact (change the voice in your head to sound like Cliff Claven) it’s a little known fact that watermelon juice is uuuuuuh, frequently enjoyed by many cultures, especially in hotter climates there, Norm!
Back to your normal voice now.
In fact while I was in Malaysia it is served in huge 2-liter glasses, and like this beer, it goes down really easy.
These are really nicely designed bottles and labels, and the beer is not terrible either.
I like the fruity character of this beer, but found it to be lacking in body.
Props for putting out something different, and despite my absolute hatred of flavoured beers, I think this is a good effort that will hopefully become more refined in the future.
If you are to try this, it is best served very cold.
